How it all started/ Le début du commencement

Born in Kigali, Rwanda and grown up in Montpellier, France; Norway was far from being a destination that I was "predestinated" to love or dream about being or living.

It basically started when on my third year of studies we were offered an opportunity to go abroad. I had the choice between several destinations in Europe and in America. And just without thinking too much I chose a university in Finland where they were offering an interesting program I wanted to take.

And there starts my passion and love for the Nordics countries.

That erasmus year was amazing, one of the best life experience ever. I enjoyed myself and learnt a lot about myself too. I literally felt in love with the nature: seeing the green lights (auroras boreal) was such an impressive and wonderful moment that I will never forget.

After that erasmus year, I had the chance to visit Stockholm before coming back home to Montpellier. In a way I was still connected to Finland and all my memories there and was wishing and dreaming about one thing: be able or find an opportunity to come back in the Nordic countries.

And blessed me that occasion came: I got accepted for an internship at the trade department of the French Embassy in Oslo. What a great opportunity!!! I yelled when I got a positive answer for a spontaneous application in Norway. I couldn't believe that that day was happening already.

And that is how I booked my flight few weeks before the departure and planned a moving out in only 3 weeks.
Here I come Oslo: My dream was about to become true.
